Now lets get started.
1.setting up overnet to top speed for any computor its pretty simple.
start by going to your options
general:
save corrupt files: uncheck, why because you dont want corrupt files the'll
slow you down look terrible if its a movie and completly fucks up most games and software
old style part file: only use if you down loading speed drops it should
kick you back into gear, leave it on untill you see your download speeds
start to drop again
update graph:check that why because if your screens not visble it will
slow down your speeds because it dosent bother to refresh it self
network:
max down speed:0
max upload speed:14 most say 11 or 12 but i notice that most of the time
it will drop below 10kb on these settings which will drop your speeds too
because overnet programed it to lower your down speed if your up speed is below 10kb
line speed:0
max connections:999 ,others have said to set this to 800 thats good too but i notice
at 999 it seems to go right to the max amount your computor can go to
Remeber 0 means infite but dont try it with your max upload speed because
if it drops below 10 (kb) your speed will drop too...... dramaticly!
freinds:
I perferr to accept messages from every one i know you all may get sick of that advertisment
that pops up every once in a while but just set the amount of messages to receive to 1 that
solves everything somtimes people actully have inportant things to tell you like virrues warnings
or the need of a crack or pacth for somthing ECT...
show files: i perfer to show files to everyone because it allows overnet to partner faster with others
then when its off, unless your downloading somthing you really dont want people too see then dont show untill
that file is done
How to make freinds:
dont make friends with everyone exspeically if there getting high upload speeds from you try to find ones
that are getting low upload speeds like 2.0(kb) and under.
to make freinds right click on who you want to make a freind then click add to freinds
now go to
Friends: right click on any freind and select (veiw directories) it sould take afew seconds to connect do the
same on there folders to veiw there files some dont share there file those that dont... just remove them from your
list because they slow you down too.
FIREWALLED :
im not talking about your firewall youve installed/ IM talk about if OVERNET saying your firewalled it would say
it in the bottom left corner of overnet underneath the command line
if so first type ( retest ) in the command line it sould say ether UNCLEAR now or open ,if open your all set if
unclear go to optoins then to proxy dont enter any thing close options go back to the command line and retype
( RETEST ) that sould do it
statistic:
right clic on the graph select option now youll see (total lenth of time to veiw minutes) it sould say 10 minutes
change it to 1 it updates the graph faster which makes you faster dont touch any thing else there fine
ADWARE:
so anoying huh well here an easy trick no patches no cracks pretty simple listen ...
go to your OVERNET folder on your DRIVE... now in the OVERNET folder there sould be a three ULRs { (def) (67) (40) } copy the
( def ) ULR paste it on your desktop rename it to (67) copy that, paste it in the Overnet folder DO the same for the
(40) ulr too your all set now enjoy an adfree overnet!!!
NOW if your haveing alot of problems with OVERNET go into the overnet folder delete or move to another folder as a backup these files
( KNOWN ) ( PREF ) ( friend ) (layout) (upload) (SHARE) AND the ULRs all but the (def) one now reboot they sould regenerate new files
and fix most of the problems
while your in the overnet folder go to your incomming folder put every thing your sharing in seperate folders like movies in one folder
software in another it makes OVERNET start faster and allows you to have more control on whatever you want to share at the moment.
MOVIES:
I sure a few of yous got stuck with moveis on your hard drive and its a pain in the ass to delete them huh...heres what you have to do:
if your still sharing the file in the incomming folder watch to see if any one is uploading from you on overnet if they are try to make
it so that they stop uploading from how to do this go to the ( SHARED ) menu on overnet and set the priorty of another file to high and
set the one you want to delete on low now go back to the (TRANSFER) menu and wait for them to stop uploading from you once they stop go
back to the (SHARED) menu right clic on what you what to delete and delete it that sould do it if not its probly because most video players
save list of previos movies watch i suggest you get a regestry etitor and do a search on the name of the file whatever pops up delete it
that sould defintely work.NOW if youve already moved the file to a differnt folder and cant delete it youll have to reshare the the file in
that folder with overnet then delete it the same way.
burning movies how dumb most movies cant even fit on the cds there like 800 mb or over. heres a cheap and simple soltion:
if you already own a video card with tv output this is a plus if not i suggest you go out buy one i perferre nvdia cards there more stable
now connect your video card to your vcr with the male adapter do the same with the sound card for this youll have to make your own wires get
a pair of old headphones cut the wires off with the jack thell be a red and wight connect them to reguler audio wires with the male adpapter
hot glue the connetion and connect to the vcr now record the movie the way you would with tv if it doesnt so the video on the screen you
need to settup your video card in its properties
