Ape and Cue files how i do it.
so you've downloaded a ape and cue file
and don't know what to do with them?
this is my way of using them.
open the cue file in foobar2000
http://www.foobar2000.org/
it displays the track names and plays great!
or
you get an error message you don't understand.
the cue sheet needs editing, download cdrcue.
(search google for cdrcue)
open the cue sheet in cdrcue look for file it will be in green
and will look something like this
FILE "Mahler 2 Klemperer.wav" WAVE
notice the .wav you need to change this to .ape
when you've done that Save As Mahler 2 Klemperer.ape
so now you have two cue files one for wavs and one for apes.
want to burn ape to cd?
make sure your ape cue files are working in foobar
burn as data files you can get two cd's worth of music on to one cd
and can play them via the cue sheets in foobar
Audio cd's
decompress your apes to wav
download Feurio!
http://www.feurio.com/English/index.shtml
open layout on the toolbar and change to Project List + Content
open Project on the toolbar, choose Create project from cue sheet-file
browse to where your cue sheet is, select and open all your tracks will be displayed
now you can burn, play or mix.
Haven't got a cue sheet, just an ape file?
decompress to wav and put wav in a folder. Download cdwave
(search google for cdwav)
open cdwave and load wav file use auto split, check with freedb
or Amazon on how many tracks there are. Adjust accordingly
on the file menu choose save cue sheet.
If you've got Daemon Tools
http://www.daemon-tools.cc/portal/download.php?sid=17addd274cea3 52b2463d3100a6cd
ec9
load cue sheet into daemon tools run EAC
(search google for EAC)
select generic dvd drive, now you can name your tracks and create a new cue sheet with track titles, or convert mutiple tracks to one ape file with cue sheet.
