Norton AntiVirus LiveUpdate subscription crack - June 2002
This will update your Norton AntiVirus Live Update subscription until 29 December, 2029!
Close the Norton application you want to update.
Go to the directory where the file "Catalog.LiveSubscribe" is located (depending on your operating system) and replace it with the one supplied. For safety's sake, it is suggested that you make a backup of the original file in the unlikely event of the new one being corrupted in some way. The easiest way to do this is to rename the original file to be "OLD_Catalog.LiveSubscribe" before pasting in the new file supplied.
Where to find the file:
For Win Xp/2k:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveSubscribe
For Win 9x/Me:
C:\WINDOWS\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveSubscribe
After the file is in place, you need to go to that file and change it to read-only. You can do this by right clicking it, selecting properties, and checking the read only box.
Alternatively - if you are not confident in doing this - you can delete the file named "Catalog.LiveSubscribe" from the directory and uninstall your Norton application(s) and then reinstall. Your subscription will then be good for another year.

If you don't mind downloading the file yourself and running the update, then you can stay up to date even better than LiveUpdate can do. LiveUpdate is normally updated once a week (on a Wednesday). The direct access files referred to below are updated daily. :-)
I use a program called "C4U" [ http://www.c4u.com/ ] to monitor the exact page (for me) for downloading the NAV def update:

When there is a change it will alert me and I only need to click on the new link and install.
