If you Update your system, wanna reinstall things, or fuck with 3dmax install you might run ito a problem with zbrush 2 .. it might ask you for a repair code becaus eyour license is broken. so this is what you do.. you can either buy the software (recommended) or you can do this
1- navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\element5\Licenses
(it could be C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Application Data\element5\Licenses on some systems)
2- you should see one or several files that look something like this B1FFA000.dat . delete all of them
these are screwed up license files that are no longer working due to hardware id's/mac address/and other things being changed on your system. The SafeCast system that ZBrush/element5 uses checks these licnese files during startup of zbrush.
3- after you have deleted them all start up zbrush.. you should now be able to enter the normal code that you can get from the Paradox Keygen.. (all over the internet).. basiclly thius just makes the protection system for ZBrush2 think you are doing a fresh install. enjoy ;)
btw: im not 100% sure but i "think" there are server checks done by ZBrush2, meaning if you are online it might fuck with your valid license and make the program stop working (causing you to have to do these steps over again) just incase you may wanna use a soft/firewall like zonealarm (free) to block ZBrush (and its licnesing components) from accesing your net connection. just a thought.
