Welcome to the "Kicking corrupt Files Ass" Help guide!!

First off... how are you?! That's good. This is my 2nd "Help guide" released for winmx and other p2p users. Thanks for the feedback on my Akai burning guide and kit! Glad it was more useful than those other shitty vague help texts floating around! I would also like to take the time to say that some people out there (You know who you are) whom downloaded my guide and have altered it or taken credit for it, "you are a piece of shizznit!". O.k. with all that out of the way, Let's move into the goods!

So you sat in front of your puter all day and night negotiating, throttling bandwith, and counting down MB's as you chanted..."come on babie, come on babie.."! And then the moment you've waited for arrives! You see the beautiful words...Complete!
So you take your newly prized "Platinum Drums" (hehe) and go for extraction only to see "ding"! CRC error, File corrupt!
Son of a Bitch! Please try again right?! Well not necessarily! Lacuna's on the job to try and help.
Start simple and slick: :)
Note:
If your zip, rar or ace file is holding .wav's and audio don't bother trying to rescue single sounds and loops, the integrity of the audio will be too shitty for composition anyway. Just work with what you get and be thankful it was for free!
Ass Kicker Method 1.)
Now, if your file is a CD image such as .bin or .ccd you need to get as much data as possible for the cue or bin to reference in order to recreate the CD image and successfully burn. So if for instance your using winrar and it's extracting 10 folders, all the folders are needed to complete a piece of the puzzle. However, if your lucky, any corrupt reference you get will just be an autorun instruction or something the CD can function without. You will still need to have that file for referencing even if it doesn't work so I'm going to show you how to save it. Typically when you get a CRC error and click "O.k" it discards what little was extracted. What we need to do is save it anyway because at the least, the cue or bin will see it sitting there and say o.k. here 's the I.D. of that folder keep creating image. (A little non-technical I know but you get the point) Now, let's say you get a CRC error and it say's..."CRC error dtt.r01 the file is corrupt". Alright, stop right there and DO NOT click OK. or It will be discarded! What you need to do is pretend it's not there and click on your windows explorer and navigate to the folder you told winrar to extract to. When you open it you'll have all the folders there, even the one's which are "corrupt" because you haven't clicked o.k. which initiates the discard of those files. Now take those corrupt files and move them to another folder where winrar can't see it. Now go ahead and click "O.K." and end the winrar session. Now go back to where you hid the extracted corrupt files and drop em' back to where they belong so the cue sheet can reference whatever it can from it and keep going. Now try doing your burn and tadda!! You have your Sample CD!
Ass Kicker Method 2.)
My all time absolute favorite little bitchin app to use on BINS, CUES, etc is "Binchunker" if you don't have it you need it! This little 233k app will save you time and in many cases bad burns. How it works is simple. You launch Binchunker and load a CUE file in it. from there it will check the integrity of the bin or CD Image. If you get errors no problem! Try this trick. Click on the "Action" button and "Select all" then click convert! By default it will convert to an ISO which is fine, so just type a new name like "Platinum2" and save. It will convert and reassemble a new image even through the errors!! I have succesfully saved and burned corrupt bins countless times with this method.
Ass Kicker method 3.)
As a last resort follow Method 2 up to convertion and convert to "WAV" with CCD's for instance you'll be able to get at least a 50% portion of working audio samples.
