I figure out a HUGE bug in the UAd1 copy protection system that allow to
run demo plug ins with NO TIME LIMIT!
1-Change the year from 2005 to 2007.
2-Start the Uad1 meter application, switch all the demos on (in less than minute!) and
write down the EXACT system time and date (25 July 2007, 5:29 pm in my case)
3-Close the meter application and switch off your computer.
4-Wait at least five minute and then turn the computer back on.
5-Put back the system time(5:29 pm in my case) and then run the meter application.
6- A message will tell you that the powered plug ins won't run anymore because the system time have
been sent back
7-Ignore the message and run your favourite sequencer but don't quit the meter application untill
you're done with the plug ins. The plug ins are working!!!!!
8-It's extremely important(otherwise this little trick won't work anymore!) that, each time
you reboot or restart your computer you put back the SAME time and the SAME date
EXATLY how it was when you finished to switch the demo on (25 July 2007, 5:29 pm in my case),
so the Uad-1 will "think" that no time as passed.
Note: Each time you turn on your computer and you run the UAd1 meter application, the message
"the system time as been sent back, bla bla bla.." will appear.
The nice thing is that, even with this message the plug ins are working!!! Just rember to put
the time back every time you start the computer and you're all set.
