NEW User interface!
User interface has gone through many changes: users have 2 different levels of user interface - basic and advanced. Basic user interface was changed to be easy and fully manageable from the administrator's level (new AVGADMIN tool). Administrator can set up functions to be visible and usable for clients. Basic interface is well arranged, allows users to set up "their configuration" according to their needs (ie. by creating "shortcuts" to mostly used functions and scans).

NEW AVG Control Center!
Shows AVG components and their status. This allows direct access to these components, their start-up as well as their configuration. AVG Control Center can be started in 2 different interfaces and enables AVGADMIN to set the components independently. As well as AVG basic interface, the AVG Control Center allows definition of "shortcuts" to most used AVG functions, and, consequently, their placing on a workplace.

NEW AVG Email Scanner!
Support of email scanning is developed in form of plugins for specific applications (Microsoft Outlook, Eudora, The Bat!) or as an independent application ( AVG EMC) working on a POP3/SMTP level as a filter using these protocols) which may be used by all other e-mail programs( such as Outlook Express etc). Every component has its own scanning configuration, including language selection for certification texts. It is also possible to setup filtering of e-mails regarding its attachment by an analysis of message content.
NEW AVG Resident Shield!
Was completely rebuilt. The former "on access" scanner became outdated and hard to maintain. Although Microsoft ended up its program and user's support for its older systems, our new resident shield works again under all operating systems of Windows 95 and higher.
AVG Language Versions
The new version is not language dependant for languages that are and will be used for our product.
NEW AVG update!
Current solution of AVG 6.0 update is unacceptable for long term conditions. New solution of developing, testing and distribution of update files is based on modular conception of AVG 7.0 and will improve update release time and distribution to end-users.

Central network administration - AVGADMIN
AVGADMIN version 6.0 is a very universal product for administrating of AVG program on computer network, but there are some basic problems( ie problems with administrating bigger amount of computers, high network resources occupation, user interface...). The new AVGADMIN version 7.0 will be developed for needs of network administrators, especially regarding MS Windows standard.
New AVGADMIN is working with a database where all data from and for workstations are placed at. This way of communication is much faster and requires less network resources than communication by using files (AVGADMIN 6.0). The communication for heterogenous networks is still possible.
